MVP Tech partners with SURGE FOR WATER on WWD2021

22 March 2021 – Middle East based MVP Tech, a leading provider of award-winning specialized security & IT systems in the GCC, is proud to announce its partnership with Surge for Water for this year’s global celebration of World Water Day.

An annual initiative of the UN that began in 1993, World Water Day aims to highlight the importance of freshwater and its sustainable management, inspiring people, and organizations around the world to learn more about water-related issues and to take action and make a difference.

In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an additional focus on hand washing and hygiene. Relevant issues include water scarcity, water pollution, inadequate water supply, lack of sanitation, and the impacts of climate change.

This year, the core focus of the observance is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.

Heeding the call and joining the celebrations, MVP Tech is partnering with Surge for Water, an organization that is committed to transform communities by providing access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene.  MVP Tech is taking part in this important mission by inviting their partners and other leading technology providers around the world to invest and participate.

With their invaluable support, the high-level program is expected to help directly impact 2,000 students in Uganda with Hygiene Education including water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH) education and soap-making training.

“We believe in giving back to the community in ways designed to create a positive impact and real change for those who need it the most,” MVP Director Jurgen E. Herre states when asked about the reason behind their company’s participation.

“We must all recognize the multifold value of water and take action to conserve this basic resource, that is not only essential to life, but also vital for creating jobs and supporting economic, social, and human development,” Jurgen adds.
