Surge for water – Hygiene Education Initiative 2023

In 2023, MVP Tech is excited to share its ongoing commitment to promoting hygiene education through a dynamic partnership with Surge for Water. This collaborative effort signifies a targeted initiative to implement comprehensive hygiene training programs in Haiti and Uganda for 2000 people.

  • In the current year, January 2023, we helped impact 194 people in 6 communities in Uganda and Haiti! The communities impacted were Imakioroch, Kalyamese, and Obiyai in Uganda and Kajou, Martiale, and Nan Ma in Haiti. Since June 2022, we’ve impacted a total of 1,563 people in 31 communities! That’s 78% of our goal!
  • February 2023: we helped impact 167 people in 4 communities in Uganda! The communities impacted were Aperkira Village, Kiribati A Village, Odidip A Village, and Omodoi Community. Since June, we‘ve impacted a total 1,841 people – 92% of our goal!
  • March 2023, we helped in training 313 students in Uganda, All of these students were at Katinge Primary School, and students in primary 1-5 were trained. This brings the total trained since June to 2,154 people – 107% of our goal!

Initiating a collective endeavor to drive positive change, Our joint program is crafted to meet fundamental needs in communities in Haiti and Uganda, not only training people on hygiene practices, but adopting a comprehensive approach that includes well repairs and latrine construction.

  • May 2023: we helped in educated 244 people across 7 communities in Haiti and Uganda! This can be broken down to 188 people in 6 communities in Haiti and 56 people in 1 community in Uganda.With a goal this year of 2,000 people impacted, we’re already 12% of our way there!
  • June 2023: our impact was extended in Uganda – 156 students at Abata Primary School were trained on proper hygiene!With a goal of 2,000 people impacted, you’ve already helped educate 400 people across Haiti and Uganda! That puts us at 20% of our annual goal.
  • July 2023: 144 students trained at St. Paul Secondary School.
  • August 2023: 250 students trained at Bira Primary School.
  • September 2023: 161 students trained at Opiltok Primary School.

Since May, you’ve helped us reach 955 people – 47% of the way to our goal of 2,000!

  • October: our impact continued to grow in Uganda. 160 students at Achilo Corner Primary School were trained on proper hygiene!To date, we have helped to reach 1,115 people across Uganda and Haiti. We are nearly 58% to our goal of reaching 2,000 people!
  • November: 167 people in Komolo and Abarowalu Communities in Uganda were trained on proper handwashing with soap! This brings your impact for the year to 1,282 people – 64% to our goal of 2,000!
