819 Impacted Lives: Clean Water and Hygiene Education | October Updates

We are thrilled to announce that as part of our 2024 partnership initiatives with Surge for Water, we have completed the well repair project in Komolo Village, Uganda! Today, 819 people in the community have access to clean, safe water. here are some key highlights:

Before: In April 2024, the Komolo Village borehole had completely broken down, leaving the community without a reliable water source. The borehole had cracked cement and rusted pipes, forcing residents to rely on an open spring 2 kilometers away for water.

After: With the collaboration of community members and local government leaders, we fully restored the borehole. It is now functioning perfectly, providing clean water to the entire village. This access to safe water is a vital step towards better health and a brighter future for the community.

In addition to the well fix, we’re proud to share that our hygiene education efforts continue to grow. So far, 1,376 people have received training this year in both Uganda and Haiti!
