MVP Tech Partners with Surge

MVP Tech partnered with Surge for Water in a sustainability initiative to fund water access and critical hygiene training program in Haiti & Uganda

In honour of World Water Day, MVP Tech and Surge for Water, a US-based NGO that invests in communities by providing safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions, launched a combined project in 2021. This project sought to provide 2000 people from at-risk areas in Haiti and Uganda with sanitary facilities and hygiene education.

Together with Surge, we believe in empowering at-risk communities, improving people’s lives, and increasing awareness of the global water crisis worldwide.

This year, over the months of June and July, we reached out to 399 students in these communities, and with the help of the Surge for Water team, they have been trained on proper handwashing, the water cycle, and hygiene practices!

This brings us 20% closer to reaching our goal for the year!

Local officers delivered hygiene training programs to these areas: 

Haiti – Lapierre, Modele, Philadelphie, Rue Comond, Terssere, Timoullage

Uganda – Angoltok Primary School, Anyara Primary School, Aturigalin Primary School, Otuboi Township Primary School
