MVP Tech & Surge CSR Initiative
The Architecture and Design communities will come together during the event, to discuss sustainable designs and raise awareness of the global water crisis. They will also engage in a challenge to create heritage-inspired designs to pay tribute to an ancient art or architectural form.
The event will also feature an inspirational gala with Surge’s global network and the Sustainability Design Awards. Together with surge, we will celebrate water and redesign our communities to be happier, healthier, and more sustainable.
Guests will also learn about Surge’s response to solving the global water crisis issue. “While Surge provides safe water access to global communities in need, we also recognize the role each person plays in solving the water crisis,” says Shilpa Alva, Surge’s Founder. “This gala is a great way to build community, so together, we can raise additional funds and awareness for our cause and help create a better world that’s one with nature”.
Surge For Water’s impactful solutions has reached 1 million people across 300 at-risk communities, health centers, and schools globally. For the past 3 consecutive years, we have partnered with Surge to support their investments in these communities, in an effort to end the cycle of poverty.
This year, we plan to continue supporting Surge for Water by offering hygiene education, water sanitation, and raising awareness of 2 billion people living without access to safe water.
“We believe in giving back to the community in ways designed to create a positive impact and real change for those who need it the most. We must all recognize the multifold value of water and take action to conserve this basic resource, that is not only essential to life, but also vital for creating jobs and supporting economic, social, and human development.”
MVP Director, Jurgen E. Herre
Water connects every aspect of life. Access to safe water and sanitation can quickly turn problems into opportunities for empowering people. With time for school and work, access to safe water contributes to improved health for women, children, and families around the world.
Today, 771 million people, or 1 in 10 lack access to safe water. 1.7 billion people or 1 in 4 lack access to a toilet. These are the people and communities we aim to help and empower through our CSR initiatives.
